I feel a strong connection to the world when I photograph, and in a way it gives form to the way I experience my own senses, my own emotions, and my own demons. My subject matter is a byproduct of intuitive reactions to my witnessing everyday life. Subjects tend to present themselves to me in a way that yearns to be remembered. I am motivated by the unseen and strive to collect images that contain meaning for myself first and foremost.
My work dances on the veil that separates the seen and unseen and engages with the idea of individual experience. It is a study of how the human eye functions as a filter to human sentiment, and how a vast portion of the way someone views the world is wrapped up in situational sensitivities. Photography has been the one thing in my life that has always motivated me to become a more intuitive, passionate, and observant person. Through my work, I have grown gradually in a way that couldn't have been done through any other means. Each image I produce has catered to an emotion that I have had the pleasure of experiencing, and the burden of fighting through. Photography is my journey, and I hope that my viewers would be encouraged by my work to embark on their own to discover the emotionally filtered world in which they really, finally see life.
